Ibrahim Sultan
Peace & Security Bureau

Focus on conflict resolution, peacebuilding, security issues, and the sociology of war.
Ibrahim is joining the team as a writer, excited to get to discuss and create material. He received a BA in international relations from Florida International University, and he's currently pursuing his Masters in International Studies and Politics from SOAS University of London. Ibrahim's main research areas of interest are Peace & Security, Nationalism, Latin America, and Neo-colonialism.

Sebastian Baciu
Energy & Environmental Affairs Bureau

Focus on energies both fossil and renewables, environmental and global warming issues.
Sebastian is from Romania and he’s currently in his final year of studying International Relations at King’s College London. He also completed an Erasmus exchange year at Sciences Po Paris where he got the chance to specialise in European Affairs and Communication. Thanks to his interest in climate issues, he aims to contribute to the Institute by exploring the social, economic, and political ramifications of the EU’s energy transition.
Martyna Hanak
Sustainable Development Bureau

Focus on human development, sustainability issues, and matters touched upon by the sustainable development goals (SDG) such as extreme poverty, hunger and education.
Martyna is a 4th-year student of Law with European Legal Studies at the University of Aberdeen. Originally from Poland, she spent the past few years in Scotland and Belgium. Her interest in international affairs blossomed after an internship at the American Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw. Her main areas of expertise include environmental and energy policies as well as UK politics at large. Having been writing for most of her life, editing seems like a natural progression for her. In her spare time, she enjoys learning languages and volunteering for local climate initiatives.
Stephan Raab
Science & Innovation Bureau

Focus on scientific research policy, space policy, new technologies, and their impact.
Stephan Raab is a studied political scientist, committed to the European idea. Coming from Nuremberg, he has been working at various spots all over Europe, as also in the European Parliament. He considers Europe more than a region. According to him, Europe is an idea of bringing people together. During his free time, he enjoys reading about philosophy and history, learning languages or discovering places near and far, having a chat with locals.
Thomas Yaw Voets
Human Rights Bureau

Focus on human rights, fundamental freedoms, and minority rights.
Thomas Yaw Voets is an academic assistant in the field of European Union Law at the University of Antwerp. He has two master's degrees. One in Law. And one in International Relations and Diplomacy. Before becoming an academic assistant, he worked as a trainee at the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the United Nations in Geneva, at the office of a Belgian member of the European Parliament, and at the International Peace Information Service ─ an independent research institute.

Adith Srinivasan
Global Political Economy Bureau

Focus on world trade and commerce, economic integration, and how the global economy shapes politics.
Adith Srinivasan is an undergraduate student at the University of Edinburgh, where he is currently pursuing a Master of Arts with Honours in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE). Originally hailing from the United States, he served as a ‘Youth Ambassador’ to Germany for the U.S. Department of State in 2019-2020, as a recipient of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Study Abroad Scholarship. It was here that he first discovered and became immersed in the European idea. Adith’s academic interests include the political economy of development, the politics of time, and international security. When he is not reading or writing, he can be found learning new languages and polishing new pieces on the classical guitar.

Ruchira Bali
Interregional Cooperation Bureau

Focus on regional integration and cross-regional dialogues, forums and international organisations.
Ruchira, currently based out of Dublin, Ireland, comes from the north region of Jammu and Kashmir, in India. She has just completed her LLM in International and Comparative Law from Trinity College, provided Global Excellence Scholarship for the completion of her studies. She completed her undergraduate studies – BBA LLB from Symbiosis Law School. During the course of her studies, she has written, and published articles, and other forms of writing in peer-reviewed journals, and websites with international repute such as the – NALSAR’S, Indian Journal for Air and Space Laws, and have also undertaken a series of offline, and online internships. Ruchira has a deep and profound interest in studying, researching, and writing on contemporary topics of public international law, human rights, aviation, trade, and economics because of her prior academic exposure to these subjects, and has covered some of the mentioned areas in moot court competitions. She aims to hone her writing skills, and further pursue her interest in Interregional cooperation, but also network well under the umbrella of a growing story of a student-run-international affairs-focused think tank. When not studying, or writing, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and football.

Adrian Waters
Democratisation Bureau

Focus on democratic efforts worldwide, and the challenges to democratic norms.
Adrian Waters was born in Rome in 1996 and has lived and studied in both Italy and the UK. He has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Politics from the University of Kent (Canterbury, England), a Master of Arts in History from University College London, and a second-level Master in International Public Affairs from the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. In 2018-19 he worked as the secretary of the Institute for a Greater Europe, for which he continues to contribute articles concerning democracy in Europe.
